Human civilization has been in the habit of reading articles since ancient times, whether it is a religious book, a newspaper, or an informative book. But with time, gadgets are being replaced by books, due to which the reading habits of human beings have also changed considerably. With changing technology, the way of reading the book of today’s youth has changed considerably.

Today’s youth are using new gadgets which have changed their reading habits too much. Technology has changed the way we use the library, before that we had to go to the library and find the favorite books in the rows. But now with the help of new technology, we can read any book with the help of online e-book, with the help of these e-books, we can read them anywhere and anytime.

Through technology, we can give our favorite language. Technology is a major step in this growing era of science. Technology has proved to be a boon for human life. Today technology has changed the way of reading, where earlier light was required to read, now we can read books with the help of kindle and ice cream sandwich in dark room with one hand.

The popularity of e-reading can be gauged from the fact that when the number of e-reader (online reading) users in the US increased from 17 percent in 2011 to 28 percent in 2016, as per the Pew Research Center report. Given the interest of e-reading around the world, several different e-book reading services have emerged. Out of which Oyster, Scribd, and Entitle, three of the most popular services emerged. All three allow their users to have unique experiences as well as access to over 100,000 books.

But in the last few years, e-book sales have seen a surprising change. The print has stabilized – and their demand in the market is also increasing – while e-book sales have slipped.

One possible reason for this change could be an increase in e-book prices, and may be more expensive than the paperback version, and also a possibility of digital fatigue. People spend so much time in front of the screen that when they read, they feel tired because of which they want to go offline. However, now e-book readers are also getting the option to switch to audiobook, which is easier to play on the smartphone while multitasking them.
